Schizonepeta, also known as Jiasu, is the dried aerial part of Schizonepeta tenuifolia, a plant in the Schizonepeta genus of the mint family. It is an exterior-releasing medicinal herb with mildly warm properties and a pungent but gentle dispersing action; therefore, it can be combined for use in both wind-cold and wind-heat colds.
It is mildly warm in nature, pungent in flavor, and enters the Lung and Liver meridians.
It promotes sweating and releases the exterior, promotes the eruption of rashes, reduces sores, and stops bleeding. It is primarily used to treat exterior syndromes caused by external pathogens, measles that has not fully erupted, wind rash and itching, sores and ulcers in the early stages accompanied by exterior symptoms, vomiting blood, nosebleeds, blood in the stool, and other conditions.
The Treatise on Medicinal Properties states: “It treats aversion to wind, pathogenic wind, facial paralysis, generalized numbness, forgetfulness due to heart deficiency, and enhances strength and replenishes essence. It primarily wards off pernicious toxins, relieves fatigue, and treats boils.”

Shipping Issues
