This product consists of Grade A red-pink slices from the unossified main beam of the antler of a robust adult male wapiti, a member of the deer family. It is produced in Qingyuan County, Fushun, Liaoning Province, a national geographical indication, and is commonly known as “Qingyuan wapiti” or “Eastern wapiti.” With a premium yield of up to 90%, it is renowned for its high protein content, tender antler texture, and fine, dense honeycomb-like pores and full blood supply on the cut surface, and is regarded by experts as a benchmark for high-quality Eastern wapiti antler.
Warm in nature, sweet and salty in taste; enters the kidney and liver meridians.
It tonifies kidney yang, replenishes essence and blood, strengthens the sinews and bones, regulates the Thoroughfare and Conception vessels, and promotes the resolution of sores and toxins. It is commonly used for kidney-yang deficiency, deficiency of essence and blood, impotence with seminal emission,cold uterus and infertility, emaciation, fatigue, aversion to cold, dizziness,tinnitus and deafness, cold and painful lower back,weak sinews and bones, flooding and spotting, vaginal discharge, and non-healing yin sores.
Tips
Nourishing yin and replenishing essence: Can be combined withprepared rehmannia root and goji berries.
Replenishing both essence and blood: Can be combined with donkey-hide gelatin, deer antler glue, deer antler gelatin residue, and angelica root.
Strongly tonifying original qi: Can be combined with ginseng, codonopsis root, and astragalus root.
Nourishing the liver and kidneys: Can be combined with asiatic cornelian cherry fruit, goji berries, and other ingredients.
Flooding and spotting: Often combined with dragon bone, ginseng, and other ingredients.
Soup
3g of wapiti antler slices, 5g each of red ginseng and angelica root, 7g each of prepared rehmannia root and goji berries, and 4oz of black chicken or lean meat. Add 1 to 2 bowls of boiling water and stew for approximately 3 hours. Then add 10g of crushed donkey-hide gelatin, stir until partially dissolved, and season to taste.
This soup, made with the six ingredients above, is a “ powerful soup for strongly replenishing essence and blood and regulating yin and yang.” It provides “strong dual replenishment of essence and blood, tonifying the kidneys and strengthening yang, warming and unblocking the meridians, strongly replenishing original qi, and combating fatigue.” It may address essence depletion and blood deficiency, improve cold intolerance and cold limbs, and restore physical vitality and immunity. If the body shows clear signs of deficiency and decline (such as essence deficiency, severe anemia, or severe yang deficiency), it may be used as an intensive restorative regimen; for daily wellness, reduce the dosage.

The Chinese Pharmacopoeia lists both wapiti antler and sika deer antler as authentic sources of “deer antler.” Although their core effects are the same, they each have their own strengths in terms of potency and therapeutic tendency.
Sika deer antler: Potent yet relatively gentle. It requires demanding farming conditions and yields less antler, making it more expensive.
Wapiti antler: More vigorous in action and more warming. The animals are larger and produce more antler, so it offers better value for money.
